Athens, Greece
One of the oldest cities in the world and the birthplace of democracy, philosophy, and Western civilisation — Athens offers professionals a uniquely inspiring setting that combines 3,500 years of recorded history with a thriving modern economy and an increasingly prominent position within the European business landscape.

WHY ATHENS
Where civilisation began
Athens is a city of extraordinary depth — a place where the foundations of law, governance, philosophy, and democratic thought were laid over two millennia ago. For professionals seeking a training destination that is both intellectually stimulating and strategically well-positioned, Athens offers a rare combination of European Union access, Mediterranean connectivity, and an unmatched cultural environment that elevates professional thinking beyond the ordinary.
European Union gateway
As a full EU member state, Greece offers access to European regulatory frameworks, standards, and professional networks — valuable context for public sector and finance delegates.
Well connected
Athens International Airport (ATH) offers direct or one-stop connections from Riyadh, Dubai, Doha, Nairobi, Accra, and Lagos. A natural crossroads between Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.
Outstanding climate
Over 300 days of sunshine per year. Athens enjoys one of the most agreeable climates of any European training destination — warm, dry summers and mild winters.
Excellent value
Athens offers a significantly lower cost of living than London, Paris, or Amsterdam — quality hotels, transport, and daily expenses are considerably more affordable for delegates and their organisations.

Recommended Attire
Training sessions
Smart business or casual attire. Venues are air-conditioned in summer — a light layer is advisable for indoor sessions. In cooler months, smart layers are recommended.
City Exploration
Comfortable walking shoes with good grip are essential — Athens' ancient sites and cobbled streets involve uneven stone surfaces. Light, breathable clothing recommended from May through September. Sun protection strongly advisable in summer.

GETTING AROUND
Navigating the city
Amsterdam is one of the most navigable cities in Europe. The tram network covers virtually the entire city centre, and the compact layout means many training venues, hotels, and attractions are within comfortable walking distance of one another.
Mode
Deatils
Tram network
The most practical way to get around Amsterdam. 15 lines criss-cross the city centre, running approximately 06:00 to midnight daily. An OV-chipkaart (travel card) or contactless bank card is accepted on all trams. Night trams operate on key routes at weekends.
Metro & Bus
Four Metro lines connect Amsterdam Centraal with key districts including the Zuidas business district. An extensive bus network covers areas not served by tram or Metro. All accept the OV-chipkaart.
Airport connections
Amsterdam Schiphol (AMS) is connected to Amsterdam Centraal by direct train — journey approximately 17 minutes, with trains every 10–15 minutes. One of the best airport-to-city connections in Europe.
Taxis & ride-hailing
Official taxis are available at ranks throughout the city. Uber operates in Amsterdam. Central Amsterdam has limited car access due to canal geography — trams and walking are generally faster for city-centre journeys.
Cycling
Amsterdam is the world's most cycle-friendly city, with over 800 kilometres of dedicated cycle paths. Hire bicycles are available throughout the city — often the fastest and most enjoyable way to explore between sessions.
